Summer kick-off
We are so excited about the summer months ahead here in Ukraine!
The kids have their last week of school this week and then we are ready for a summer of work, harvest and fun! We have already begun harvesting our berries. We have been blessed with an abundance of strawberries and we are eating our tummies full, making jam and freezing them fresh.
June and July are full months for us. We are holding two camps this year, one in Kozliv (third year) and one in Mohyliv (first year)! We are expecting over 100 kids at each camp and are so blessed to have a team from Delaware helping us with the camp in Mohyliv and a team from Pennsylvania helping us with the one in Kozliv!
In between all the work with camps and harvesting, Ruslan will also be joining our friend Koen, with Christians for Israel, and helping him with teams coming in this summer and throughout the rest of the year ministering to the Jewish community all over Ukraine.
The first year we did a camp in Kozliv, we had 70 kids, the second year about a 100, who knows what this year holds!
We are expanding our territory!
This picture above is a great representation of the joy we will feel as we watch the Lord do amazing things in our lives and in our kids lives! We are so excited to share some exciting news that the Lord is opening the door for us to expand our ministry to Vinnytsa. For several years, Ruslan and I have been praying about what God might have for Raising Hope Ukraine as our kids are getting older. In our city, Mohyliv, there are not many options for higher education and therefore, we have been asking the Lord for the possibility of purchasing (insteading of renting a place for 8 kids) a place in Vinnytsa where there are more options for schooling.
After Archie returned from the States in March, there was an urgency in our hearts to press into the Lord and see what He had for us. We are so honored that some dear friends of ours have come together and want to loan a portion of the cost to purchase property in Vinnytsa! And, as God is so good and perfect in everyway, it’s almost exactly what we need in order to purchase the property! Which only leaves the cost to finish the renovations and installing a kitchen and bathrooms.
We ask you all to be in prayer with us as we trust the Lord for these finances. We are in need of about $25,000. What we are really thrilled about is that in the meantime that our kids are not yet in Vinnytsa, the property will be used to host teams and a possibly a YWAM DTS! The Lord is expanding us and we are privileged to be a part of His work. Your prayers are greatly appreciated as we embark on this new phase of Raising Hope Ukraine.
With love and blessings,
Ruslan, Archie and family
