Prayers for Ukraine
Prayers for Ukraine
Happy New Year! We hope you all had a blessed holiday season full of joy, love, peace and the presence of our Lord.
We have been receiving lots of texts and emails and phone calls of concern over the situation here in Ukraine. First, thank you all for your concerns and prayers and support. We are grateful.
We wanted to give everyone an update on things here from our perspective and some of our thoughts.
Yes, there are Russian troops to the North and East of Ukraine and we are hearing rumors of invasion, but it really is a wait and see situation. In general, we live about 1000 km away from the conflict in the East. We don’t feel an urgency to leave the country as of right now, so we pray. Our church has been a part of a nationwide 24 hour prayer since 2014 and we continue to pray for our people and home here.
If things come to a point where we need to leave or make some major changes, we will let everyone know. Of course, we ask for prayers for things to settle and the Lord’s protection and wisdom on how we are to act if there is a need.
In the meantime, we continue to help those in need with food bags, clothing and other ways as needed, but most of all share the necessity of knowing Jesus and giving our lives to Him, especially in such an uncertain time.

Thank you for all your continued prayers and support!
